McKenzie Dalthorp

Paralegal

Born and raised in Beaverton, Oregon, McKenzie began her legal career as an intern at the Community Legal Information Center (CLIC) at Chico State while studying and competing as a member of the women’s basketball team. At CLIC, she first started providing legal information to clients in the Public Benefits Advocacy Program, was later hired as Co-Director of its Housing Law Program, and finally became Co-Director of the Disabled and the Law Program where she successfully advocated for clients at administrative law hearings. This success led to her being awarded the College of Behavioral and Social Sciences Advocacy Award in 2014. Upon graduation, McKenzie returned home to the Pacific Northwest and worked as a paralegal for a sole practitioner in personal injury law, with a focus on asbestos litigation. Several years later, and after a two-year stint teaching English in San Sebastián, Spain, McKenzie gained experience with employment litigation when she returned home once again. This time she joined a premier management-side labor and employment law boutique in Portland known for its excellent representation of employers in the Pacific Northwest before eventually proceeding to assist with establishing Arbor Law in late 2020.

When not working, McKenzie enjoys spending most of her time outdoors whether it’s hiking, camping, skiing, or volunteer coaching with Girls on the Run. When not outdoors, she enjoys traveling abroad, attending concerts, and is currently working to hone her pottery skills.
